My oldest son is home from college for the summer and I'm ready for him to go back to school.  Since he's been home his high school friends have been here everyday!  My youngest son enjoys it because it's no longer just me and him but I'm frustrated.  That's why I have refused to buy food for the house because I'm not feeding grown men!  Just had to get that off my chest.

  1. I know exactly what you mean! My soon to be high school graduate called after dinner was finished tonight and asked what we had. He stated he was at a friends house and they were ALL hungry; my husband told him he was not home so he missed dinner.

  2. LOL! you sound like my mother when we was still at home. Now that we live on our own she still don't buy food for her house. She say when we visit, she just want a visit not a stay!

  4. I am from the south and have inherited the expression "bless their heart." I always try to add that when I am complaining about someone because it allows me to get it off my chest while still appearing to be praying for them.

  6. That's the first thing I ask for when I go home to visit, a home cooked meal! :)

  9. They can eat you out of house and home. My grown son still lives at home. Of course he pays rent because his is not currently in school. He sleeps days and works nights, which is the opposite from my husband and I. Many times we will have dinner and have lots of left overs. Next day everything has been eaten. It doesn't matter how much we fix. Crazy right!

  11. Why isn't he cooking for you? You should make him cook dinner at elast once a week while he's home eating all your food.
